A young girl who seems just stepped out from a page of fairytale book swayed around the white daisy field. She was wearing head to toe white fairy princess ensemble complete with a pair of glittery wings.”Minnie, wait up.”A young boy shouted from a far look as dashing as a prince. The young girl in the mood of having fun ignored the young boy cry and went farther away the sea of daisies. She hides between the daisies making sure her oppa wouldn’t find her. The worried cry from the young boy is clearly heard by the young girl.”Minnie, come out please?”The young boy said distressed. The young girl shielded her mouth, stopping herself from burst out laughing.
She heard footsteps nearing. A hand on her shoulder. She jumped back by the sudden touch.”Found you.”The young boy said proudly.”Oppa, no fun.”She pouted cutely.”Let’s go home now.”The young boy persuaded the young girl.”Andwae, let’s stay here longer, I love this place.”She said stubbornly. The young boy followed the young fairy princess command like a prince charming would do. The young fairy princess lay down beneath the sea of daisies, eyes staring at the blue sky flooded by puffy clouds of many shapes. There’s one shaped like a cotton candy and another one looks like her oppa round black eyes except it was white in colour. She giggled. The young boy was puzzled and laid down next to her. The young prince stared at the princess lovingly. They’re too young to know love, too many things to discover. Being the curious young boy he is, Minho pecked the young girl’s cheek. It was an innocent, pure and childish peck. The young girl was startled and turns completely red. The princess looks at her prince full of adoration.
Every good thing has to come to an end. They were entwining their hand together, taking every step together riding through the plethora of daisies. Laying down, looking at sky making up random shapes of clouds and giggled along.”Minnie, I have to go somewhere else.” the young prince said. The breeze blew away the young princess hair.”Oppa, where are you going? Will you come back?”The young girl said not knowing the meaning of separation.”I’m moving to Seoul, I’ll be back, I promise you. Will you wait for me, Minnie?”The young boy said with grief holding his pinkie high in the air. The young girl connected their pinkie together concealing their agreement.”Oppa, Minnie will wait for you until the daisies die.”Minnie said courageously. Being the young fearless princess, she is.
Days passed since her prince went away, every day Taemin went to their spot and peel of each one of the daisy petals until its bud.”He’ll come back.”He won’t come back.” When the last petals falls, “He won’t come back.” She went again and took another daisy and peels it off. What she didn’t notice, a young boy hides behind a tree, looking at her peeling off the daisies adoringly. He didn’t have enough courage to get near to her. So, he watched her from a far.
13 years later, Lee Taemin grows up being one of the most adored young women in the village. She’s naturally beautiful, intelligent and poise. Every passing day, marriage proposal come from various young fine men are rejected by her. She faithfully waits for her young prince.
One fateful day, Kim Jonghyun, the boy who always watches her from a far came to ask her hand in marriage.”Young lady, you better not messed up this time, this is the richest men in the village.”Her mom, Kim Kibum said while dressing her long, ebony hair into a small bun. Taemin donned her finest dress, a white cotton house dress. Her father, Lee Jinki watched from the door, as the young lady face turned gloomy and dark.”Umma, my Minho will come.”Taemin said hopefully.”Lee Taemin, it’s been 13 years, he might have forgotten you.”Her umma said insensitively. Her umma walked out from her bedroom leaving her with her father.”Appa, I’ve promised Minho oppa, I’ll wait for him.”Taemin said while enveloping her father with a hug.”Minnie-ah, you love him that much doesn’t you?”Jinki said while patting her back. Taemin nods in agreement.”Then, go for him.”Her appa said. She was confused at first, but soon understood her father’s meaning.
She cracked open her bedroom door, headed to the front door. She bowed respectfully at Kim Jonghyun muttering “I’m sorry.”She opened the front door and walks wherever her feet take her.”Young lady, you better come back home now.”Her mum shouted from the cottage front door. She doesn’t care about anything; she knows her prince is waiting out there for her. She sensed him. She heard footsteps behind her, must be Kim Jonghyun.
It is written on the stars, the long lost love reunited on this fateful day. As Taemin walked faster pacing away from Jonghyun, she bumped to a figure. Strong hands gripped her from falling.”Minnie-ah, are you ok?”Minho said worriedly. She felt safe once again in this stranger’s arms. She hugged the stranger without knowing he is her prince.”Fairy princess, look at me.”Minho said to ring a bell. Taemin was stuttered, taken aback.”Minho, is this you?”Taemin said while staring at the tall, handsome figure in front of her. She shut her eyes close and said under her breathe.”I must be dreaming, I must be dreaming.”Minho kissed her on the lips, snapping her back to reality.”Is this a dream then?”Minho said with a small laugh.
