Wow
I just saw a French troupe create a human mobile, lifted high by a crane. At the top of the apparatus was a large metal circle, a young woman acrobat seated in the center. Her performance was hold-your-breath strong. But, but her flexibility was stunning. In a back bend, she could rest her foot on her head. She created the most amazing contortions using the circle. All I could think of was how to tie her in those positions! Screw the spectacle, I wanted her tied feet to head redefining a hogtie, I wanted her ankles tied to the circle as the rest of her dangled down. I wanted to use dozens of silk scarves to create living bondage sculpture. Yeah, wow!
