Oh, I love this. Love how everything fits together, all the little details that aren't really necessary but make it feel real. I kind of want to just ... I dunno ... smush it? Um. Yes?

Yeah, not one of my more coherent comments, I know.

It's just, I want to know more about this world. Now. And crawl into it and explore for a while. And read its history books and stuff.

(In totally unrelated matters - for some reason, neither this comment nor the previous one showed up on my friends list. Any idea why that might be? I'm kinda miffed, since it took me two days to wander over here on my own. Also? I wrote some backstory for John's, er, back. Just so you know.)

Also, those last three, about John? Ring very very true.

He actually knows this, but he's gotten into the habit of not saying it for so long that he has trouble finding the words to hint at it to other people. Besides, they might ground him, and he wants the sky the way Hill-men want their Hills.

I read this and thought yes.

I fell in love with that poem of Kipling's a long time ago, and thought then how it was applicable to more than the two situations he'd written into it.

Thank you for all of your wonderfully kind comments; doing this made me think of twenty... and then forty... and then sixty things to say about my pet AU, as distinct from my views of SGA-in-general. (I friendslocked it, though, as half of them won't make much sense without the proper setup.)

...possibly because I redated them, having originally left them as personal messages while composing them?

And I shall go and look at it now.

That would make sense. Nice to know that the (apparent) problem probably wasn't on my end. Although I haven't been getting e-mail notifications either, so... *shrugs*

It's a free service, so no point in getting irritated. Pretty much any way it goes, I'm getting more than I paid for.
