The poison is coming out of Silly's foot about 1-2 cms above her coronet band. It's hot to touch but the heat seems to be fading a little. It's a nasty looking pink wound and it is growing in size. The farrier came today to put her shoeback on and ended up having to put a new shoe on her bad foot (I can't get a full set until next week) and kindly left me another front shoe for the farrier who's coming next week to put on as she has such tiny feet. He said he's never seen anything like her foot before and reckons a thorn or something might get forced out of the wound. I am keeping an open mind. Silly is much more comfortable on that foot now it has a shoe on and she doesn't have to wear a nappy but she is going lame on her other front leg although the farrier had a feel of it and think's it's just because she so desperate needs shoeing and is finding her shoes very uncomfortable. I hope it's not another abcess developing but I can't find any heat or tender areas on her sole.
I'm hoping very much that this is her on the road to recovery and I just wanted to let everyone know how she's doing :)
Eatting frantically as it's nearly time for me to go to work and I've not eaten all day as usual. *scoff*
The cycling went pretty well. Took me a little under the time it usually takes when I bus so it was worth it. I'm definitely a little bit fitter than I thought I was which is all good. Blergh can't ram enough food down my throat.
Time to go get ready for work! Bye *runs*
