Random Thoughts About Steve Irwin:
Idiots everywhere are screaming to see the video footage, and it breaks my heart. It's footage of him dying; his soul leaving his body. That's so impersonal, and rude, and what makes them think they are special enough to witness that? I don't see (many) people asking for vides of people taking a shit. It's just personal - and they want to laugh at it and make fun of him for just trying to make a mark on humanity.
I loved his show! I mean, yeah, the animals were fun, and learning is fun (only sometimes, though) but what made me keep watching was his passion. He wasn't picking up random snakes crusin' the jungle because he wanted to pick on them, or hurt them. He really, truly cared about them and their well being, and that made me care. He was so awesomely genuine, and you could just feel his positive aura through the TV. I loved seeing him interact with his family just as much as I loved seeing him playing with the animals.
I'll really, really miss his show, just as soon as it kicks in that he's really gone.
