Shoes left on sand, on rock
We stood out, and looked as though we should not have been there. It did not matter to us though, so we rolled up our jeans and waded out into the icy river waters. A rock of sufficient size was found, and commandeered as an island bench to house us. The sky tore open and steadily drenched our figures, and we sat admiring the beauty all around. (I intentionally leave out the ridiculous stupidity that is token behavior. We are known to be who we are. Stupidity can be as great as intelligence.)
