the Salvation Army sucks!
Gah, I'm so angry. I don't like the Salvation Army, and normally, never give to that organization. Recently, in honor of World AIDS Day, a group of us wanted to do a charity project and Anna Reiser suggested Adopting a Family for the holidays. I guess now that i think about it, we should have just given the money to the AIDS Resource Center. Anyway, i donated like four car rides anywhere in Appleton to whomever won the raffle. So, that's a significant chunk of time i don't really have, not to mention gas money. And I just found out that the Adopt a Family program is through the Salvation Army. I am so fucking pissed! The Salvation army won't hire you if you're gay! They suck and I just gave them my time! Anna should have told us what organization it was through, i know I wouldn't have participated. Discrimination is awful! No matter how much you give to the needy! There are perfectly good charities that don't discriminate. anyway, I'm pissed. and i hate that since its the holidays, the Salvation Army is fucking everywhere, with their bells, and boxes and closed-mindedness.
