Cooking, cleaning, and a meme.

Reply to this meme by yelling "Words!" and I will give you five words that remind me of you. Then post them in your LJ and explain what they mean to you.

The following words were from
zero_rei .

Xanxus: Katekyo Hitman Reborn's resident asshole...and yet he's one of  my favorite characters. (I still question his sanity for the whole racoon tail and feathers combo though. Seriously, I want to know the story about that.) There's also the fact I made my Japanese cell phone into the "Boss phone" and 90% of my doujinshis involve him. He's my most challenging and difficult character I've ever roleplayed. I know that's troubling, but I really do want to play him and I think if I can stick to it, I can mature more as an rper.

Roleplaying: I started off roleplaying 4/5 years ago with my friend Teresa on DeviantART under the Xiaolin Showdown fandom and then we expanded to original characters, which we still play to this day. mallowmateys is my first RP game, specifically on LJ and I love it despite some of the drama that occasionally goes on. I've met so many awesome people and got introduced to a lot of new series. (Not to mention I finally caved into Hetalia because of the cast there, but unless the mangaka can do some decent cleaning for his works, I'm rather hesitant on reading the actual story.) I also frequent the KHR dressing room as Bester (and I can't wait to see him in the anime next week along with TYL!Xanxus.) And out of curiousity, are there any RPs anyone would like to recommend me? I prefer panfandom, and easy requirements to pass activity checks.

Jmusic: Around 70% of my music is J-music. I mostly listen to Monkey Majik, m-flo, animanga-related songs (image songs, opening/ending themes), etc. It's not like I have anything against any other genre of music, I just tend to find more songs that I like in that genre. Strangely enough, I love J-rap more than American rap. Then again, after reading about the birth and history of J-rap, I learned to like it more.

Japan: Japan is really my second home. Though I'm a Hawaii-raised girl, Japan was where I was born. It's really my love for that country that made me decide to major in Japanese. Studying abroad for a year also had a factor in this. To be honest, I was deeply sadened to the point I was tearing up  before the flight back home. I would've joined my university's trip to Sado island this summer, but I need money to survive next year.

Yaoi:I was introduced to yaoi the same time I was introduced to fandom. What's funny is, after taking the Popular Culture class in Japan and looking up the roots of yaoi (and now I'm pissed that I found out I didn't buy the second set of reading material for that class) and reading several BL manga, I thought "that's not why I like yaoi". I actually like fandom yaoi more than original BL and stuff like that.

Well, I'm back at my old job. Some things have changed, but it's still mostly the same. I work swing shift, which involves the dinner rush. Yay. What fun. Next week, I work on the weekends. Friday and Saturday are from 4pm to 11:30pm, and Sunday's 5pm to 10pm. Well, at least I'm getting hours and getting paid more than minimum wage, so I'm not complaing.

Lately my days now involve me helping my mom cleaning around the house in the mornings and then do other tasks like bringing in the laundry. Plus, we've been getting 90 degree weather (32 or so in celsius) for several days in the row. No wonder I'm so tired lately.

My mother cancelled the seperate phone line for dial-up internet, so we're using the money to switch to a different phone provider, since she doesn't like T-mobile. We're between going for an i-phone or Verizon. Which one do you think we should go for? I have no opinion on either really, and I would like some advice.

Did some baking and cooking today. Did a snickerdoodle cake from a recipie book that uses cake mixes, but I had to make another one since I messed up on the first batch. I totally forgot to measure the canned milk, thinking it was already one cup. But either way, the cakes turned out nice. Also made some pumpkin simmered in soy sauce and sugar for dinner tonight.

asking for advice, meme, back at work, summer
