What we had to feast on yesterday is
here As for today, I am trying to work a hydrocodone high. I woke up this morning with a shitty fucked up left shoulder and neck and back. And since Nate is mostly weaned (he may nurse to sleep a couple times a week, but that's it), and since I stole those pills from my mom's medicine cabinet a while back, I may as well try to ease the pain. Either it hasn't really kicked in, the pills are old, or I didn't take enough, or a hydrocodone high is just about feeling sleeeeeepy. Anyway, I'm a bit disappointed.
The male contingent is playing football (American style) outside.
Oh. Also I am boiling a turkey carcass for turkey soup. That'll cook most of today. Then I add carrots, garlic, onions, celery, wild rice. It will taste good.
I can't imagine we'll leave the house today because shopping, ugh. That isn't to say we haven't already internet shopped this morning. Jake got his ipod ordered, and I think Jim ordered some boots with his birthday money. (Docs are cool again, didn't you know? I'm still wearing my originals. Ok, the second pair I ever got because I stepped in dog shit with the first and my solution was to toss that pair.) The kids are mostly bought for (we'll do a NYC shopping excursion at some point) and I do have to shop for Jim, plus assorted family members. But not today.
Culture is out because now that the Christmas season is upon us, the museums are pretty overcrowded. We had a disastrous MOMA trip last year complete with huge spousal argument. I'm not doing that again.
Anyhow, I hope it's all good for you folks. Enjoy your leftovers, be they tofurkey or turkey or whatever!
