Spring Break is over and I'm tired

Spring break is over, and I'm not well rested! Why? Because I spend the whole week moving from NY to DC. "Wait," you say, "didn't I already move from NY to DC to start law school?" Yes, and no. Before law school started, I moved what I absolutely needed to from NY to DC because my NY apartment hadn't sold yet. Because apartments tend to sell faster when they are furnished, we thought it was best to leave what we could in NY to make it homey. Whether this made a difference or not is questionable, in light of the weakening market and the "uniqueness" or our apartment. Nevertheless, leaving half of our furniture in NY left us a bona-fide pied-a-terre in Manhattan, and occasionally we made a trip up to NY, hotel free. One of the things we left in NY was our bed, because the NY bedroom looked way too weird w/o out. We slept on a mattress on the floor in our DC apartment for months on end to make our NY place more attractive. Weird. Penny loved it though.

So now, during Spring Break, we moved the rest of the furniture here. The NY apartment has sold (almost - one last step to go - the co-op interview), and frankly we're just sick of sleeping on the floor. Needless to say, leaving NY AGAIN was bittersweet - moving is cruel, and moving TWICE is that much crueler. Seeing NY again for old times' sake was good and all, but it was physically exhausing. A Spring "break" this wasn't.

Penny seems sad in our empty home here:
