but others worse than wanted?

or how you think the grass is greener but the weed sucks and won't get you high

or how your friends are there for you at your lowest time

but are angry at you during your highest

how you thought things were one way

but life makes you take a complete u-turn

how the only thing that can truly touch your soul

is the music blasting through your ears

or bleeding from your fingers

causing your heart to swell and burst

and explode with the passion of the one thing that keeps you going

isn't it funny how sometimes the monotony

can cause the most fun times in your life

and the days when you were young and carefree

prick at your mind

leaving you with the desire to return to those simpler times

when love wasn't fucked

when friends made sense

when the hardest task was the most mundane

where things were handed to you on a silver platter

and you never had to work for anything

growing up is great

but growing young is better
