Mod Post: Welcome and Instructions
Welcome to santalamb, the rack_of_lamb secret santa gift exchange community!
There are just a few rules and instructions to get you started. Please read them all before signing up.
Registration Instructions:
1. You MUST JOIN santalamb before registering for the exchange.
1. Based on poll results, I have decided to have two types of exchanges--a standard exchange by mail and a cyber exchange. There is a separate post here (below) for each type. Please choose ONE type of exchange to sign up for and read the specific details in that post. You will be asked to answer a few questions and include your mailing information in the post (comments will be screened).
2. After you have registered, you will be randomly assigned a secret santa. Their information will be emailed to you.
3. Deadline for registration is SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 4 (end of day) and you will receive your secret santa shortly after that date. The holidays are a busy time, so I am allowing maximum time for you to complete your secret santa gift and mail it. The deadline for completing the project is DECEMBER 31. Please aim to have your gift in your recipient's hands before that date.
Notes:
1. Please do not use rack_of_lamb for secret santa discussion. I don't want to clog up that community--it wouldn't be fair to those not participating. I might be posting an occasional reminder (or similar) there, but would prefer to keep any other questions or discussions here.
2. If you have a specific question about the exchange, please comment in THIS POST or email me.
3. Please do no register if you aren't committed to completing the exchange. Just think of how disappointing it would be for your intended recipient not to receive a gift when expecting one. It's just common courtesy to be responsible about the project. If something happens where you just cannot follow through, please email me.
4. If you cannot or do not want to mail a gift outside the United States, please don't sign up for the regular exchange. I can't guarantee you won't be assigned a secret santa in another country.
5. I have decided not to enforce a Lamb theme, so any type of gifts are welcome, Lamby or otherwise.
Most importantly, HAVE A GOOD TIME! This is intended to be a fun, community-building project. Let's infuse a little holiday cheer into our great community!
