This was an incredibly beautiful fic. I'm really just speechless. I haven't read nearly enough of this pairing but they're so sweet, and you really captured the way they're awkward but sweet and good for each other at the same time.
I adored this part especially: he has always liked watching Tezuka’s back on the courts but he does not think that he can stand the curve of Tezuka’s shoulders walking away from him.
Oh, Oishi. This was truly fabulous. I wish I could say more about it but I feel like I can't explain myself any better right now. waxrose is a lucky girl. :)
You owe me 249 laps, Oishi murmurs, and he’s not sure, but when he turns to smile at Tezuka, the expression on Tezuka’s face is unfamiliar and welcome.
Aw. I really liked that bit.
I want to second what anjenue said, this is a very dreamy story and I almost feel as if I don't know whether it really happened or not. The part where Oishi doesn't get on the train to visit Tezuka, I felt so bad for him. There are conversations via wrists and Oishi is very uncertain, isn't he? Poor Oishi. I also like the ending, the idea of wasting hours together. Anyways, nice story!
This whole fic is so beautiful and everything I ever wanted and ajfklfjmalan;jdk I am SO PLEASED that you chose to do Tezuka/Oishi from my request, I reallly really wanted it.
When I find out who you are, sweet anon, there won't be anywhere on this Earth where you can hide from my endless adoration. :DDD ♥
anjenue really expressed it well, it felt soft and dreamy and a little bit sad, but hopeful. I love how they communicate with touches and looks and mutual understanding, I love how awkward and sweet and hesitant they were.
he can recognize the first-year’s conceit and the second-year’s caution, and this year’s confidence. The lines have faded since the match with Atobe, not beyond recognition maybe, but he has never seen Tezuka look so young.
and
Oishi wishes that he could look up the subtle lines of Tezuka’s face in a dictionaryThis part just broke my heart and oh, your writing is so evocative, even in the simplest lines, the feelings come across so clearly. Oishi watching Tezuka, Oishi
