Instant review: Everyone is really poor at being realistic.
This movie didn't really make me want to pay attention to it, which is sort of sad, because you would think this would be my kind of thing. Stephen Fry did a good job, but I think he generally played it too measured and reasonable. He barely ever acted like a guy who just couldn't help himself, or who genuinely didn't see any other way to behave than 'inappropriately'. He didn't come off as the kind of fellow who'd tolerate Jude Law's dumb behavior just because he was Jude Law, and that was probably a misstep. In short: Stephen Fry had too much dignity for this movie.
