L'amour, elle crie

My reflections on love.

I have come to realize that humans are made to be with one another.

It is possible to live in loneliness, possible to continue existence in solitude, but that is without complete understanding; it is like a shell of what could be.

I have realized that humans surround themselves with little creature comforts- things that serve only as a makeshift replacement of the contentment that they cannot seem to find in other humans. Nothing but a poor semblance of happiness so they can try not to remember just how lonely they truly are.

I have come to understand that inexplicable longing when watching the world around me. Some of it is eternal; it is incomprehensible, bittersweet, to be filled with the sky itself. And some of it is purely human, not to be understood until there is someone with you to realize the moving speechlessness at the beauty of God and His Creation, and seeing that same touch of beauty in the person standing next to you. Suddenly, then, nature is fulfilled.

This, then, is love.
