Someone was kind enough to ask me to set up a syndication feed for my photoblog. I went ahead and set it up
(here) so all of you lovely people can continue to have shiny pictures on your friendslist and I will not go crazy trying to remember what picture I put in what blog and agonizing over whether I'm marketing myself too much.*
Also, seeing my own words echoed back at me from three different locations (website-facebook-and now LJ) is kind of frightening. I don't have a huge readership right now or anything, but it's one of those moments where you're bouncing along and being absurd and then realise that EVERYONE is watching you. Uh, hi.
*waves*
No pressure or anything.
Actually, I'm not that paranoid, just tired, and a little punchy. I threw a bridal shower for my sister-in-law today and that went pretty well. A lot of people chipped in to help with the food, and we all overprepared, so everything went pretty smoothly. Everyone mingled nicely- even the ones who don't usually get along, or who had never even met before- and it was relaxed and fun. People always compliment showers, but most people seemed to have genuinely enjoyed themselves. Also, it's always a little surprising to find out that I can apparently still throw a good party. I'm sure pictures will be surfacing from that shortly- didn't take my camera since there was enough for me to worry about, but a lot of other people had their point & shoots.
That's it for me. It's past my bedtime and I have to work in the morning.
*One of the weird things about turning your name into a brand is that it stops sounding like your name after awhile. Not quite like those overfamiliar words that sound weird and are suddenly unrecognisable sounds (shellbailey shellbailey shellbaileyphotography ack.) But it also starts to sound like something you buy at a store. Or, like someone else. I wonder when my name will take on a personality of its own, without my doing- or if it's already starting too. Rise, o doppelganger!
ETA: I forgot all the old links to my pictures are broken. They're all still on the website, but I have to comb through my LJ and make them all work. It'll happen eventually, but it will take a while to get them all.
