I got about half-way through a post, and LJ ate it. Boo.
Anyway. I'm slowly starting to work on uploading the pictures from the church's open house/dedication ceremony. None of them are earthshattering, and I still don't have the equipment to handle the lighting in that place, but the experience is good. It's actually been pretty useful to learn the limitations of my equipment and exactly why other methods are necessary.
Also debating what to do about webhosting/presentation for my stuff. I've got nothing against flickr- it does what it needs to and gives me no troubles, and has lots of very informative communities besides. It's not very good for professional presentation, though. Greater people than I use it, but most of them also have websites to point people to. I guess it's just that I think my work may not be professional yet, but it's (hopefully) past the point of interested-person-with-a-camera, and I'd like some sort of presentation to reflect that. Might start a photo blog- but who would read it? Not sure how I'm going to handle this yet.
This weekend was good. Chris, a good friend of mine, got married in florida last wednesday, and was up with his wife, Joy, for an informal reception. I'd met Joy before, but only for about three minutes after church one day with no real time to talk, so it was good to get to know her a bit better. They are some of the cutest, most beamish newlyweds that I have ever seen. Sunday we went out to lunch with those two & Dan and Anna, so it's the second time in... a year and a half? that we've gotten to hang out. Doesn't feel like that long, but my goodness I miss him.
Kyle was in town for like five minutes last weekend, Danielle stayed through this week, so we got to talk to her again as well. Again, crazy how long it's been.
Also- had to reschedule my tattoo, just couldn't get down there, with the car situation as it is. I'm having a hard enough getting to work right now. So new date- monday the 30th. Hooray! I'm glad we could fit it in before pennsic.
Aaand I have to run and eat lunch and get ready for work, before I'm late.
