Still not quite ready to post excerpts yet, but can I just say, Alanna is absolutely fantastic?
She went from having practically no personality, little starry-eyed dream girl, to totally kicking ass in the last half of the book. I've never had a story that actually climaxed the way it was supposed to, i don't think, but then, I've never really gotten close to finishing a story, either. I'm still interested to see where this one is going, exactly.
10k more! It's going to be a close one with my story- as in, what finishes first, the wordcount or my plot? I think it will definitely be above 50k once editing is done, and there are actually complete scenes and real descriptions and segways! my god! But all of those things all too slow to actually go back and edit in, so I'm hoping the story lasts for the next 10k.
Only a couple more good days, the way I'm going!
