Save the Cheerleader ...
So the encroaching blackness on my computer screen that necessitated my dropping out of art for heroes_bigboom just keeps getting worse. So, since I suspect that this poor laptop won't last much past Christmas, does anyone have thoughts on Windows Vista? In an ideal world, I'd be getting a Mac, but in an ideal world the Macs wouldn't cost twice the amount of PCs. *sigh* Has anyone even used Vista long enough to have thoughts on it?
I am still waiting for the postal service to bring me my copy of The Umbrella Academy, but in the meantime, have some scans of the Free Comic Book Day teaser comic. Also on the subject of bandom, this article has brought me WAY too much joy these past few days. I pretty much can't deal with the cute!
raedbard's new West Wing fic I Will See You In Far Off Places seriously sent chills down my spine. I know that the world doesn't all love apocalypse fic like I do (which just makes me SAD) but this is SO worth your time. Chilling and poetic and ending with just enough hope to keep me from curling up in a ball for the rest of the night.
And finally, HEROES COMES BACK ON IN THREE DAYS!!!! *spins around the room with glee and excitement* I swear, on Monday, if not before, I WILL have a large post of Heroes glee and recs. Because no matter how terrified I am of them fucking things up with season two, season one still remains this glorious spot of self contained happiness that they can't ever take away from me!
