January Games Night!

Dec 07, 2009 15:55

*waves* OK - since we have an influx of victims new people for Games Night, the planning poll is getting posted unlocked. It will be held at my place, partially to facilitate planning and partially because I always have an insane desire to cook spaghetti and meatballs for the masses in January, and this gives me an EXCELLENT excuse to do so. *g* ( ( Read more... )

I could actually do any of the Saturdays, but these are the ones most likely for me to not have to do anything on the Sunday after.

Which is always helpful. And this might well be the first Games Night that I've hosted since the 1st one that we didn't send you off from my house drunk/hung over to work the next day. Um. We might need to work on that. \0?

Yeah, well, it's early yet. You never know, I could still get work calls in there.

The 23rd and 30th are actually equally fine for me, but the first part of the month I will be in New Zealand.

*nodsnods* Well the good news is that it looks like everyone else is skewing toward the end of the month anyway! \0/

If that's a COFFEE pumpkin latte, then spike it, so everything else will be safe for me. ;p
If it's a pumpkin CHAI latte, then don't you dare pollute it! ;}

Anyway, my January work schedule is still in flux, but the end of the month is at least possible; I'm definitely working the 9th&10th, and either working (if life hates me) or perhaps out of town (if I'm lucky) the 16th-18th.

I hope I can come! *snugs*

And likewise, the 30th isn't significantly worse than the 23rd, AFAICTATJ.

How sad is it that I had no problem figuring out your AFAICTATJ almost instantly?

Or perhaps I should say, how awesome \0/

*g* I stood up on Saturday, went, "stetson! Oh, and intersection, but another word!" and half the room yelled out the full version of FRTDNEATJ. The other half was just really, really confused.

I think (FINGERS CROSSED, SET. OH MY GOD WTF PROPOSAL ARGH.) that I am no more swamped on a given weekend than the rest. Also, I am totally crashing at your place that night because I am a lazy person.

ps. What do you want me to bring to go with spaghetti? Also, we should make an effort to ensure actual games this time; I'm thinking apples to apples and an RP? Thoughts? Otherwise I'll bring A2A and SuperScrabble and something random from the coffee table, but you don't get to complain when it's weird.

w00t w00t. I ticked my answers :P

Just don't bring the crazy nacho Mounties game and we'll be set. :P

Well, she COULD bring the nacho game, but if she does I vote she needs to act out the rules in interpretive dance. Y/MFY?

I'm starting to hate that game. It thwarts me at every turn! Not very polite and Canadian, really.

I do believe I will be providing a gallon or two of cider to be served as desired for this game night. Given the poll results seriously skew in that direction. Probably something else, as well, given my provisioning tendencies, but definitely cider. *g*

Also, I may have a game in mind, but that's all I'm gonna say for now.

WOOOO CIDER! \0/ We had cider at O's for the accidental Merlin pimping month, but we drank it all. *g*

We didn't! I found another half gallon in the back of the fridge after you guys left; I had forgotten we had it for some reason.

And now I want the fic where Merlin is an accidental pimp. Not that I know how such a fic would go, or even want to think about it very hard.

I am thinking two gallons, at least, then, since seven people voted for it and all of them appear to want to come, so that's a quart apiece. Assuming nobody else wants in on the action. Really, though, once I know how many to plan for, I may just take that number and divide by four. I HIGHLY SUPPORT EVERYONE ALWAYS HAVING ENOUGH CIDER TO DRINK. *g*
