To all you purveyors of fantasy and its assumed companion, science fiction, are there characters who can be classified as thus within the the first few paragraphs featuring said character situations: the stage parent living ever-so-vicariously through their child-companion; the stage child, or any child for that instance, who fakes convincing long term illness to get out his or her assigned duties; the hypochondriac who consults not just doctors or herbalists, but astrologists, nutrionalists, psychics, wizards, and the like; the spiritualist who experiences the joys of revelation when he or she has toothaches; and the embezzler, whether information, magic, or money, who avoids the authorities by hiding in some commune where clothing buttons are deemed the device of the devil?
