The reading and gala thinger on Tuesday night went awesomely! Lots of people came, there were awesome snacks. And wine. Lots of wine. Haha. I read like a champ, and the other contributions were very excellent.
So
here is a link to my biography and explanation of my poem. I wrote the biography bit, but someone else wrote about my poem, lol.
And
this is the whole first issue. Oh boy! The very first issue ever.
In other news, it snowed a wad in Colorado. But hardly any here! It's usually the other way around! We had a dusting of dry, light, sparkly flakes this morning. It looked like gauzy glittery. I saw one of my neighbors de-snowing his sidewalk with a broom. That's how light and fluffy it was! I think that is my favorite kind of snow.
In even otherer news, I am going to volunteer at the Soup Kitchen the first week of January, maybe more. That first week of January is when St. Laurence O'Toole is supposed to man the Soup Kitchen. I called the guy in charge on Monday, half expecting that all the volunteer spots would be full. But nay! The dude was stoked that I wanted to help and for all the days. Win! I've never volunteered at the Soup Kitchen before, so it ought to be an interesting time.
