Long entry

So today was neat. I got ready to go in like 18 minutes (including shower) and made it to school in record time. The Wang says she liked my Camus paper, so that's good news, and Friday is Miami Writing Team and that means no school, whoo.

Muffin: your mission is to sneak into the conference and pose as a high school student. I'll steal Sandy Love's nametag for you. The Wang will never know. There will be free dessert.

After school was Academic Team and Kelly was there and that always makes it fun. After that, I ran into her and Mark at the Buzz-Thru.
Not really, but I did see them there and we hung for a bit. (Oh, man.)

It occured to me this very evening that, even though I will be working on these sons-of-bitches of college applications until the last possible second, the guidance office will probably be closing, with school, on the fifteenth. This was a big "oh shit" moment, and I've accordingly spent most of my evening writing some essays and deciding whether my teachers will write nasty recommendations because I'm only going to give them two weeks.
Oh shit.
... Oh well.

Did anyone else realize how quickly this is going? We have now less than three weeks of school before winter break, then after break, another week or two or three until the end of the semester, and then fastforward and it'll be spring break before we know it and New York and everyone will figure out where they're going to school and all the not-seniors will be doing auditions and then we'll be taking AP tests and then school will be over and we'll graduate on a Friday night and we'll be out of here and it'll be summer. Wicked.
I just need to focus on finishing these @#$^ applications. Gah!
No, I'm not really sure why I censored myself there.

Oh, yeah, I forgot, Thanksgiving was lovely. My sister's puppy is... (wait for it...) adorable. How was yours?
