Friday after rehearsal (which wasn't nearly as bad as I had feared it might be) I went to Miami and only got a little lost. Claudia and I ate Mexican and went to Krogers with Sam, and then watched Bewitched with one of her floormates. It was a cute movie.
Saturday morning we drove back and I had to haul ass to Drums. They were freaking out about understaffing at the guide tent, which is lame, because I worked the second band to arrive and sat around doing nothing the rest of the night. We marched... not very well... I hope that gets better soon.
Afterwards, we cleaned up stands and played football. Rutter and I got a whole bag of free nachos, so I stirred up controversy by marking them FOR THE FAIREST and putting them in the front of the band room. Maybe we'll have a big war culminating in a hollow wooden animal statue being offered to the gods. Alternatively, Thompson will yell at us for not cleaning up the band room on Monday. Hail Eris!
Sunday morning we started up for Ann Arbor. I visited Q on the way, which was cool. Met a couple of her friends and saw her dorm and stuff. We got into Michigan in time for a torrential downpour, so we watched the Bengals game in the hotel for a while before we went out to explore.
Ann Arbor was awesome. I was afraid it might be a mediocre campus at best, but I was really happy with it. We did tours of Central and North campus this morning, which was good because I didn't really like North campus the first time I saw it but when we went through it with the tour, it was actually really cool. All of my concerns were alleviated on the application stuff and basically, I'm pretty excited about it. I went and watched the marching band in the evening. Damn, they are effing loud. And pregame was awesome. We had to leave so I couldn't watch them working drill, which would've been cool, but oh well. So, yeah, now back to reality. Rabblerabblerabble.
