For some reason, Chrome stopped working for me. I can do "incognito" windows and it's fine, but regular Chrome times out trying to anything. This wouldn't be a problem except that in "incognito" mode, it pretends you are a brand new person every time, so you have to log in to everything. And the auto-fill passwords I had for LJ were wrong. And it ( Read more... )

It's not the number of posts, it's the time. It lets you see something like the past 3-4 weeks. Sometimes my friends page goes completely blank!

That’s a terrible decision isn’t it! Though I assume you can still visit each person’s LJ and read back as far as you like.

From that description, it sounds like one of your add-ons could be responsible. (Add-ons aren't loaded in incognito mode, I think.) So there's the tedious task of disabling them one at a time, or disabling them all and re-enabling them one at a time, to find the culprit, assuming you didn't just decide to stick with Firefox instead.

Hm! I suspected something like this too, but I turned off all the "extensions" and it is still happening. Would there be other add-ins somewhere?

Hmm. Ok, I'm stumped then; I don't know of a secret place for extra extensions beyond the ones you turned off. :-(
