Greece and schtuff
My kid came home yesterday with a certificate stating that he got voted "Student of the Week"! He has been helping the school librarian, she screwed up her back, so he's been going in before classes and helping her pull down chairs, and after school, putting them back up, and anything else she needs. So he got a certificate, a wristband, free lunch for the week, and the principal announced it all on the P.A. Cool :)
In Humanities, they are studying Ancient Greece.So he comes home and tells me, "Mom, I need a Chiton by tomorrow".MMMMMkay.We had to run uptown and grab last bits of stuff from seestor's old place to store, and, handily, she had old cotton sheets she was chucking. *SNAG* Back home, washed and dried, sewn into a Chiton, done. Done? Nope, too easy, that. We had fun:) He's off to school with said Chiton, also my lace-up-the-leg dance sandals, and an Etruscan medallion around his neck. Tonight we will put a proper border on the Chiton, to make it fancier, and he needs a belt. Hmmm...
