Soon as the singer done couple of Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, and Tony Bennett pieces, he went down and Jessica walked to him, pulling Taecyeon with her as Taecyeon weirdly had a nervous feeling he never thought he would had.
"Junsu..." She beamed brightly to the guy that Taecyeon known now as Junsu. He gave his wife that wide smiled and sincere laughter as he hugged her.
"Congratulation for the wedding."
'Oh dear God. His voice.' Taecyeon thought soon as he heard his real voice when speaking. It was alluring, Taecyeon found.
"Junsu, this is my husband, Taecyeon." Jessica introduced them brightly as Taecyeon cleared his throat, definitely blinded by Junsu's cheerful and sincere smiled.
As soon as their hands met, Taecyeon stood silenced, like he was feeling something so familiar, something felt so nice and other words that include electricity, it’s just a hand shake for god's sake, but, it was fitted, like it was meant to be. Meant to be.
"Junsu.." The smaller man said and Taecyeon looked down to their shake hand with mouth closed, then he said it, barely a whispered, but its enough for Junsu to hear,
"Oh, well, wow." Taecyeon let go and stepped back a little, wiping his palm over his pants, feeling might be his hand was sweaty so he get the entire electricity but his palm hand was dry, as much as how dried his throat was. Junsu's eyebrows arched as he watched the awkward attitude of the tall boy.
"I'm T-T-Taecyeon." Junsu laughed and damn, of all people, that laughed was just my type, Taecyeon thought as he heard Junsu continued in apologize and then,
"It is nice meeting you too, T-T-Taecyeon." Junsu teased and Taecyeon cursed internally because he felt he cheeks were way hotter than before. Well, that was not nice, to have fever in his wedding night, he thought.
--
Taecyeon sat to the piano bench, and cleared his throat that definitely could be heard by the entire audience since he done it in front of the mic.
"Urm...yeah. Well, I'm a bit drunk, but no. I'm sober, yeah, I'm sober" Taecyeon said as he was like make out to the microphone.
"Urm...I want to sing one song, well, I know my voice isn't good like the guy over there." Taecyeon's hand motion to Junsu and people turned and smiled at Junsu, made the older boy's eye brows raised and waved his hands.
"Urm...yeah, piano. Well, like every other Asian in America, I do at least have something to be proud of, not my voice, but I could play piano and surprise, surprise, and I’m so good at it." Taecyeon laughed, "Okay, I'm babbling, sorry. But really, I heard this song covered by this dude on Youtube." He silenced, stared at the audience, "And I could'nt help it to sing it now." He breathed out as his gaze somehow locked to guy that been caught his attention tonight. In his own wedding. Well, fuck.
"I think you're pretty
Without any makeup on
I think you're funny
When you tell the punch line wrong
I knew you got me
So you let your walls come down, down”
Junsu couldn't tear his eyes away from the guy on stage. It was exhilarating. It was surprising how much he really like the tall boy. Just a minute he laid his eyes on Taecyeon, he knew that guy was flawless, except he's married. But among the surprises he received tonight, he never thought he would get the younger man's attention. It was probably one sided, but come on, Junsu was gay and had a dozens of relationship, he know how flirting worked, duh. Like they've been teasing, exchanging glances, smiled secretly to each other the whole night, like, once they got home tonight, they immediately had this wild night sex and it ended in happy ending forever. Junsu shook his head, trying to get rid that type of thought; he was someone else's husband for god sake.
“You make me feel
Like I'm livin' a
Teenage dream
The way you turn me on. I can't sleep
Let's run away and
Don't ever look back, Don't ever look back.”
Junsu then cleared his throat, trying to focus on the song instead, but then, that again. Why on earth Taecyeon staring at him while sang that guilty pleasure song? Oh well, yeah, Junsu sat exactly beside Jessica, but oh, come on, his eyes were gazed directly at Junsu. Junsu shivered in his seat, this guy, took his breath away and none of his exes could give him that type of different feelings. Junsu's heartbeat beat faster, like he was done marathon. Well, fuck.
Junsu couldn't be falling in love. To someone else's husband.
“My heart stops
When you look at me
Just one touch
Now baby I believe
This is real
So take a chance and
Don't ever look back, Don't ever look back”
Junsu felt like he about to cry. As much as he loved the attention tonight, the reality hit him harder. Junsu didn't care though whether the tall man was inside the closet, or outside the closet, but fuck, he married to a young beautiful woman, so of course he stayed inside the closet, far inside the closet, freaking Narnia, but there's sincerity in the other's eyes, that made Junsu believe the interactions between them tonight was real, oh God, he didn't want to admit or to say it or to believe it, but he knew, he knew, Taecyeon was interested to him and that scared Junsu.
Had a thing to a closeted gay guy was pretty much trouble, but fall in love with a charming married closeted gay guy? That triple the trouble and why was that even rhymed?
Junsu had been out of the closet for so long, why would he hide the fact that he was gay? And walk hand in hand in public with the love of his life without caring what other people saying were his first list to do before he die.
“I'mma get your heart racing
If that's what you need,
In this teenage dream tonight
Let you rest your head on me,
If that's what you need,
In this teenage dream tonight, tonight, tonight
Tonight”
Anyway, back to that charming drunk dude on stage, Taecyeon's voice wasn't awful like what he said, more practice and pressure, well not that type of pressure, its just a pressure to be better, he'd be as good as those boys singing on Glee.
Junsu closed his eyes, trying to get himself together. He needed to go home. Had some cup of hot tea, and went to sleep. Exactly. Soon as he opened his eyes, he looked front and his eyes widened as Taecyeon made his way to him. Smirked across his face. People cheered but Taecyeon seemed didn't care much for the attention but sat beside Junsu, instead of his wife who back chatted with her friends.
"You okay?" He elbowed Junsu's arm and Junsu nodded,
"I'm a quite charming, eh?" He asked and Junsu chuckled,
"Well, sir. You're voice is not bad."
"Wow. Did I just have compliment from a very talented singer?"
"Well, yeah. My mouth seemed couldn't stop commenting over a guy who practically owned thousands websites in Korea."
"I'm fabulous like that, thank you." Junsu laughed and felt his heart sink at the warmth the other boy having. It was too much, too much for him to handle.
"Oh, well. I have to go." Junsu said pretended to look over his watch,
"This soon?" Junsu nodded, "Don't you at least had one last song for tonight?" Junsu silenced as Adele's Someone Like You played through his brain.
"Come on, Junsu. One last song, then you can leave." Just then Taecyeon called his wife, telling her Junsu's about to go and made her begging Junsu to sing one more song. Both Jessica and Taecyeon were begging. And oh fuck it, if it’s Adele, then its going to be hers. But damn, what's with the entire female vocals he sang tonight.
Junsa sat on the piano benched Taecyeon once sat. He turned his head and stared at the audience, watching Taecyeon made his way closer to his wife and put his arm around her shoulder.
"I heard
That you're settled down
That you
Found a girl and you're married now"
Taecyeon fidgeted in his seat. Junsu's eyes were nowhere to be finding, because shit, through his eyes was the only way Taecyeon could communicate but not even once Junsu looked at him.
"Never mind, I'll find someone like you,
I wish nothing but the best for you, too,
Don't forget me, I beg,
I remember you said,
"Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead,"
Sometimes it lasts in love,
But sometimes it hurts instead, yeah."
Was this song for him?
And Junsu looked at him, locked his eyes to Taecyeon, consuming the entire sense that Taecyeon had.
"Nothing compares,
No worries or cares,
Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made,
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?"
It shouldn't be this way, Taecyeon shouldn't feel this way. He shouldn't feel like walked his way to Junsu and kissed him senseless right there on stage and telling him how much he wants him at his wedding night. He wished Junsu could stop as he afraid of what he did next and just like knowing how tortured Taecyeon. Junsu stopped. He smiled, apologized, said how much he appreciated tonight and minutes later, Taecyeon could only watched his back among the crowds.
Okay, so...Ya'll know Adele's Someone Like You, that fucking heartbreaking song. But anyway, the song Taecyeon sang was by Boyce Avenue, well, by Katy Perry actually but covered by that dude who borrowed God's voice,
