two films i want to see
underworld: evolution
so far in terms of reviews this film is not doing so well. the nytimes hasn't even deigned to do a review on it while on rottentomatoes it's got a 2/5 for freshness so far. i still want to see it though, critics be damned!
why we fight
the nytimes review gives it a decent amount of credit, but like the onion av club review it's quick to point out that it's OMG LEFTIST and SLANTED! military-industrial complex?! ahaha! leftist propaganda! of course perhaps owing to my own politics being OMG LEFTIST and SLANTED i note this with more than a little righteous ire. haha. i saw the film maker on the daily show the other night and he was remarkably intelligent and not too funny.
any other films i should see? bearing in mind that if a movie doesn't take full advantage of the movie theater medium (ie BIG BIG NOISE, BIG BIG VISUALS) i'm more inclined to wait for it to come out on dvd.
