Amalthea is the name given to the Unicron from 'The Last Unicorn' when she's turned into a human woman by her wizard companion in an attempt to hide her from her enemy.

It's entirely possible. Of course, it's equally as likely that Starscream just doesn't care about Sentinel and thus has no sympathy for him. Most of what Starscream says and does in that moment is for Megatron's benefit anyway. *shrugs*

Given Hound's assessment, I don't think Starscream will need to retrieve the Matrix again - Optimus, once he finally is able to get into proper Talks with the Seekers, will be one of their most ardent non-Vosian defenders.
