Ahh so that was Starscream's reason for such a wary reaction to Megatron - he had Ratbat with him.

It's nice to see that the other Cassettecons have had time to get used to their new family bonds, at least they seem a lot more at ease with the Command Trine than they started out as. I also like seeing more of the ones who never have much dialogue because of their canon root modes - Ravage, Laserbeak and Buzzsaw. I suppose that's the advantage of them having been upgraded to humanoid forms.

And besides, Soundwave's continued surprise - not just at the upgrades but also at the Trine's behaviour in private - is rather cute!

I am wondering about one thing:
Ravage explained quickly, summarizing the last several vorns in a quick paragraph,

Did you really mean vorns there? I mean a single vorn is almost a century, it just feels to me too long for the unsuccessful energon mission.

Yeah, well Soundwave was on the Cybertronian equivalent of a long campaign. So it's a bit like he's gone away for five years, and come back to find that his kids have bonded with the sitters. Meh, Ravage's personality is an immature form of the one he has in Beast Wars. Ravage has a RussianSeiberion accents and likes to hear himself talk. Soundwave blames Starscream's influence.

Meh, space travel isn't quick. At least, not without use of a space bridge. Even with transwarp technology, it took nearly a vorn to get to the energy source, since they had to track it instead of jumping right to it. On top of that, Megs had all these little side forays to restock their energon stores. Then they ended up in a prolonged siege with the Autobots once they finally did find the energy source. So yeah, I did mean vorns. Think of it this way, a vorn for a Cybertronian is the equivalent of a year for humans. A five year campaign isn't all

Yes, well I suppose if Ravage has a Russian accent he's got every excuse for wanting to hear his own voice, especially after so long being able to do nothing but snarls and roars and other cyber-cat vocalisations.

And does the ease of intersecting energy fields have anything to do with the imprinting?

Bwaha! Glad you liked it! XD Ratbat deserves cuddles wot.

The Seeker's get a glimpse of Soundwave's face here yes, but they don't really get a full look until they interface.

Oh ho, someone's a clever cookie, eh wot? But yeah, with the Imprinting the Seekers and Soundwave have a partial bond to each other, plus Seekers are borderline empathic, which means they can adjust to accomidate another field easily.
