Gawd, the Vines show on Tuesday was gorgeous.

Hi there! I'm back. Well, i was at the Vines show in Munich and it kicked ass. We arrived there around 7.30 pm and got in at 8 pm. We sat down, Felix tried my sisters digicam (we gave him the camera cos we were too lazy to take pictures ourselves HAHA!).
It was good that we were so early so we ended up right in front of the stage. We were hanging out on the floor with all the other kids for like one hour and checked out the setlist in the meantime. I heard so many Craig-jokes. It seems to be really popular to make jokes like "Where is Craig?" "He probably lost his bong." "Yeah, and he doens't find the way to the stage." etc... everybody's makin fun of him XD XD XD;;
I was about to break down when i heard that "sunchild" (my fav. track) wasn't on the setlist. Oh man... i've been waiting for this song all the time. I was a bit disappointed i have to admit. And "homesick" is NEVER on their setlists. Why? WHY??
Then the roadies finished their work at 9.30 pm and out strolled the Vines. I was glad they had no support band.
Craig was stoned as usual and didn't say anything except a mumbled "thonk y'all!". Then they kicked off with "Outtathaway" which was brilliant and everybody went completely nuts.
Felix asked me to take his place in the first row and i said "yes!" and i was in the first row right in front of Patrick! For the very first time ever i was in the front row. Wow, what a feeling! It's more relaxed there and i tried to ignore the people dancing behind me. I looked at Patrick but he's really shy and he looked at his bass or at Craig most of the time (he has to take care of Craiggie-bum of course, haha!). Hamish was great as well. He grinned his insane grin and stared like a weirdo which made me laugh. I didn't see Ryan that well but he played really good that night, i can tell you.
The kids were CRAZY that evening! There was this dude who looked like my little sister! I swear to god, he looked like a male version of hers! I told my sister and Felix too and they agreed. I laughed my ass off when i saw this kid climbing up on the stage. He grabbed Craig and Craig grinned back at him but a security guard got him and took him away.
Then they did "animal machine" with the light turned off. I enjoyed that a lot! And suddenly he jumped onto the bass drum with his guitar! That was impressing. During "Mary Jane" a girl with a cell phone stood beside me and tried to take
pictures of Craig. Then she phoned a friend (!) and waited until the song was over. It was probably her friends' fav. Vines song. Also, Craig did some cool sound effects with his guitar during Mary Jane. I also remember the cool drum thing Hamish did between two songs. He hit the drums and did a cool beat and Craig looked at him, nodded his head and started a really weird dance. *ROTFLMAO* that was gorgeous! X'DD
There were some guys on my left side and they talked about the new vines album. "Have you ever heard the new Vines single?" "Which one? Ride?" "Nooo, Winning Days!" "I thought that's what the album was called?" "Yeah, the album AND the single are called winning days. It's awesome! Have you got the new album?" "No." "Then you missed something..." HAHA, so true! Then there was this punk girl who screamed "i only know get free but i don't care!!".
When they played "Winning Days" they didn't finish it again!! Craig really drives me nuts! Why does he do that to me?! TT_TT *cries* Then he mumbled something like "you are so evil! You won't let us finish...bla" and then they did "Evil Town" which is my second fav. song. It was SOOO good! So many kids ran up the stage, it was crazy. And the guy who looked like my little sis got up there a second time! Woah, he really enraged the security guards... they probably kicked him out.
But when they did Get Free everybody freaked even more out and SCREAMED the lyrics so loudly. A guy next to me ran up the stage and damaged the setlist!! AAAH! He stepped on it and accidentally pulled it in pieces.
It was also absolutely hilarious when someone threw a red bra onto the stage during "Autumn Shade II" - right into Craig's face!! BWAHAHAHA! Felix told me afterwards that it was HIM who threw that bra. A girl asked him to throw it (she was too small XD). And Craig was all like "HUH??" X'D
After their last song Craig damaged the mic and they went off stage but then they came back and did an encore. "Ain't no room" (craig jumped on one leg), "Drown the baptist" & "Fuck the World". FTW is always gorgeous live. Craig's voice sounded really high during the last few songs. It was sweet. That's what made "Ride" so lovely.
In the very end Craig smashed his guitar into the drumkit and some guy threw a grey pullover up onstage and Craig grabbed it when he left. X'DD Oh man!! So if you see Craig in a grey pullover next time... it's probably the guys' pullover. I was so pissed off cos my sister and i were going to give Craig a pink polo shirt (in girls size) with "the chemical brothers" written on it. But my mom took it home with her by mistake. GAAAH! It would have been sooo lovely if Craig took that shirt with him... *sob* U_U
We tried to get some used guitar picks from Patrick but a roadie came and threw them away! AAH! T3T So mean! And another guy jumped up onstage and took the setlist & a single pick that was lying on the floor. Then they turned on Franz Ferdinands' "Take me out" and everybody sang along. Haha, the bastards.
Afterwards my sister and I got some cool stuff they sold there. She got an orange t-shirt with an awesome vines print & i got some pins. That aussie guy was funny - he said "dankeschön!" and "vielen dank!" when someone paid. :)
The show wasn't too suprising or outstanding & not that much happened... it was just a good show. Yeah, it was. We had fun! :D
