the re-enactment of a dream revisited

Jan 17, 2010 21:17

gorgeous girl
frightened of nothing
sprawled across my bed, staring pensively at her pen
my love for her is a sprouting seed
a forgotten tranquility
unfairly thrown aside, in the face of relentless conditioning
my heart has learned
to beat in time with yours
the hole in which we've drilled our separations
is the drain in my bath
and the sounds that play games with my heart
are the purring of our cats
my relentless attention
has lead me to a solemn tower
blinded with loss of affection
time has mended loves irrational insecurities
i know now that waves must be greeted
and welcomed with the wind
and emerald eyes
are not to be taken for granted
