I brought this book up at Sakura-Con at the very start of my artbook (and Guilty Gear) craze. At 45 dollars, it was my most expensive purchase (and the one I spent the most thought over), but it's currently one of my favorite artbooks.

The book covers artwork from Guilty Gear X to Guilty Gear XX, with a small handful of pictures (mainly on the character sheets) from Guilty Gear Isuka. At the bottom of each picture is a line or two talking about the picture. Or so I can only assume. It's all in Japanese and unfortunately, I can't read Japanese. The interview with Daisuke Ishiwatari in the back of the book is also in Japanese. However, I brought the book for the artwork and that is something I can still enjoy.

The artwork comes from game covers, posters, mission and arcade endings from the games, CD covers, and other works. As far as characters go, every character (including Raven and "That Man") has at least one picture, but some obviously have more than others. Sol and Ky have the most while Testament has the least (He has two pages in the book; his character sheet and one other picture). It's a very SolKytastic book. Great if you love them. Not as much if you don't. Even so, the artwork is gorgeous and worth getting for any Guilty Gear fan... provided you can find it. Guilty Gear stuff, in general, is pretty hard to find. Looking online, I've seen the books for sale at various sites, but expect to pay 30-40 dollars plus shipping. Here are the search results from Froogle. As I said, this is one of the most expensive books in my collection, but still one of my favorites.

Pros: Beautiful artwork, great reference for drawing/cosplaying, great for any Guilty Gear fan

Cons: Uneven distribution of pictures between characters, a little on the expensive and/or rare side.

Pictures:
Note: My scanner sucks so just know the pictures look much better in real life. If anyone wants better versions of the pictures, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

Slayer: Aside from his character page, this is the only picture of Slayer by himself and it happens to be pretty.

Millia Rage: Millia is one of the favorite characters in Guilty Gear. There’s a second version of this picture in the back of the book, but I happen to like this one more. She looks very innocent in this picture and it’s just a cute image.

Ky Kiske: I’m not a Ky fan at all, but I thought this was a pretty picture.

Axl Low: This isn’t my favorite picture of Axl, but I’m putting it here just because if you look at his briefcase and zippers, it says Megu/Megui on them.
