Welcome, Sounders FC!
I've always been a huge fan of soccer, sentiments that the rest of the US hasn't really shared. So imagine my pleasant surprise when Seattle has been super excited and selling out seats for games for our city's newest team: the Sounders FC. Even better, they won! 3-0!
Our basketball team, the Sonics, were stolen from us last year.
The Seahawks were embarrassing for Holmgren's last season coaching in the NFL.
The Mariners were a joke.
Both of our college footballs teams SUCKED... even when they played each other!
Thank you, Sounders, for reviving our hope in Seattle's sports teams, and thank you, Seattle, for possibly being the biggest soccer fans in the United States.
