While we were in Colorado and Wyoming, everyone we met asked if there was a new dog on the horizon. (I was startled every time. Were/are we associated with Louie that strongly? Or is that just standard catching-up small talk?) But, as it turns out, there was a new dog on the horizon, and we would be fostering/guardianing/adopting her the very day
