Someone somewhere doesn't like Sara Lee. I promise.

We ended up heading out to Paragon Sports tonight to check out both tennis rackets for the Stoy, and inline skates for the rest of us. I actually haven't skated in 6 years, but I used to really enjoy it, so with Isaac wanting to learn and Rhett another former albeit better skater wanting to pick it up again (still making sense to anyone?) I decided to get back to it.

For some odd reason I was under the impression that Rollerblade was the company I should be looking at. I was mistaken times 56. I tried on 3 different pairs of skates, all by different companies, K2, Salomon and Rollerblade, and among those three the Rollerblade ones were the ones that made me go, "NO NO BAD OFF MY FEET NOW!"

I ended up with the Salomon ones. They actually felt like someone had taken pillows, wrapped them around my feet and somehow attached wheels to them. More comfortable than any other pair of skates I've ever tried, worn, used and more so than any pair of shoes. Fuck, they were more comfortable than my flipflops. I'm pretty pleased with the purchase. Having them be so comfie makes me want to go out and skate more. Woooo... wheels make Pia fast!

We're gonna paint them of course. And mod them. Because we have a Dremel.

And I have pistachio ice cream.

(I bet you're rethinking that "dull" entry now, aren't you, Jimbolo?)
