After a thrilling 5 day adventure in the West Country, home of Cider Apples, I am back in Crouch End.
I had to wake up stupid early today, after my first night's rest on a warm, clean, dry bed in sometime to go to the Haringey Council and announce our intent to marry, sign some paperwork, etc. So now, I will be able to work after July 20th, because of more red tape but 2 months work is better than no months work in reference to saving for the wedding. So here's hoping it will all work out in the end.
After Jools and I went to the Civic Centre together to state the marriage facts and show them all our paperwork, I rushed back to Crouch End to meet who turned out to be the nicest Sainsbury Delivery man I have EVER known! Most of these jerks will make me run up and down the stairs with them to deliver my groceries to our flat on the topmost floor. This one just said, "Go sit down and have a cup of tea, love! This is my job, it is why I am here!" He was so sweet and helped me with everything. After that I put groceries away, the first lot of real groceries we have had for 3 months! Then I had a nice meal (not bought from a stall, or VEGAN) and cleaned the flat a bit as it was a right mess. Threw loads of laundry in to get the massive amounts of MUD uncaked from them and chilled with my kitties.
I may have a nap in a bit as I am a bit wrecked still from my strenuous lifting, hiking, slipping and balancing routines at Glasto. Tomorrow I plan on cleaning the flat thouroughly, finding a storage space for our crap and pricingup/arranging another trip up to York to get a few more wedding issues sorted. Hopefully Adri can join me for that trip and do some bridesmaidishy stuff with me. First I am off to sort out my CV and apply for some jobs.
