I loved Bones all done up in his southern finery - and Jim's reaction to it. I can just imagine how good they would look in 19th century clothing (which, by the way, you describe so well).
The whole seen at the Absinthe House was wonderful - the description of preparing the drink, the hot love-making and bringing the absinthe preparation back into the description as the two of them 'merged'.
It was wonderful to see Jim finally capitulate and by the end there wasn't just a sense of the two of them being 'equals' but of them both recognising what the other means - hopefully the 'fight' finally over.
The characterisations of Jim and Bones throughout this series has been wonderful - so them in such a different setting; you handled it beautifully.
