Oh, this continues to be deliciously atmospheric and sensual--I can absolutely smell the smells and hear the sounds. I'm disappointed in a way that we don't get to see McCoy's clown act, but perhaps it's better left to the imagination :)

His cock burned and it was as if the lioness had scored there, from tip to base

Woof--it was McCoy's touch, still packing a punch all these hours later.

“Fuck off out of my head, Spock.” His grin widened. “Save it for the gallery.”

Spock as a mentalist is brilliant! Easiest job he ever had :)

“I need you to take a look at Missy. Spock reckons she’s got something up with her teeth,”

Slipping a chloroform-laced steak to a lion may beat out patching up a horta. Bones can cure anything including a rainy day.

he saw every magnificent inch or Kirk’s pale, muscled body.

Kirk is such an exhibitionist, and he loves to be the center of attention. I'm not surprised that he's the ringmaster, or that he figures showing McCoy the goods is enough to seal the deal.

“Close the door. It’s cold, “he said ( ... )

But I wonder if Jim doesn't come out for his performance finding that McCoy has "warmed up" the audience to the point that they're all suicidal. Maybe it's a performance art kind of thing where he just stands in the ring in his wig and makeup and bitches about his ex-wife.

(I just love the idea of a really angry clown! I'm one of those clownophobes who had bad clown experiences as a youngster.)

You've somehow taken something I'd ordinarily think is silly and turned it into something astoundingly sexy. I mean this is really good. I eagerly await the next chapter.

This is such a wonderful story. My dad was a circus freak, ahem, devotee. So we were around them quite a bit. You have just the right touch.

Will be looking for Part 3.

You know how much I adored the first part of this series.

This is a fitting response to what was created in the first part. The emotion and evocative feeling that showed through in your descriptions was lovely. You pulled me into the Victorian era and the splendor and the shabbiness of the circus. Then there are the two boys. Both starting to acknowledge the attraction and dealing with it in different ways.

I look forward to part three.
