Status report on Part 7
I never meant to blog here -- or anywhere, really -- but it's been over a week since I posted the last part of More Richer and I know there are a couple people wondering how it's going, so this is my status report.
I've been working on #7 since I posted 6, and I thought it was going to go faster. I had a plan, and I had several key bits written already. But I reached a total stall on it around Tuesday, and didn't recover until yesterday. I realized that I wasn't dealing with something big that needed to be dealt with, and I also got tangled in a lot of the junk in my Notes file (you know the Notes file, the place where you put all the good little bits that seem too shiny to delete, but don't have an actual place in your piece? That thing can get cluttered.) On Friday, I deleted the things that really won't ever have a place, and things felt clearer. I found a way to deal with the last big issue. And as of yesterday, I actually have a draft.
I have no ETA; it could be anywhere from 4 days to another week. But I didn't want to leave you hanging. I hate it when a WIP goes dark for weeks with no sign of what's happening.
On the plus side, I got a lot of knitting done last week. My friend's baby is due soon, and blankets knit with 25 different hand-dyed shades of blue don't just knit themselves.
After I finish this? All porn, uncomplicated porn. Well, complicated porn. But short, complicated porn.
