a poem - "Unlovable"
UNLOVABLE
Some people think I’m charming, some think I’m very nice
If you’re one of those people, I suggest that you think twice
Oh sure I’m lovable, if you can love me as your friend
But loving me romantically drives women round the bend
Oh sure, I’ll knock your socks off if you get me into bed
But I must be unlovable, I should get it through my head
I have so much love to give, cos giving is so good
But I am just unlovable, and now its understood
Unlovable, I’m unlovable
I’m both too much, and not enough
I am just unlovable
If I don’t like that - tough.
It’s not that I’m unworthy, its not like I’m untrue
But loving me turns out to be too hard for most to do
I guess I’m just unlovable, its kind of hard to face
In the world of happy lovers, I simply have no place
