Reading Novel Part II
A few days ago i read an Malaysian novel titled "Yang Sebenarnya". I like the story so much even it's hard for me to understand the language at the beginning. it was a romance novel, since i really like romance and fluff story. The story was about a love story of the main character Nadhiyah and Muhammad Adrian Syaifullah.
The story began when Nazirah (Nadhiyah's elder sister) decided to reject Eddie's (Muhammad Adrian Syaifullah) proposal to merry him. Eddie and Nazirah are cousins, their family hope that their family could keep close to each other if Eddie married with Nazirah and they knew if Eddie really in love with Nazirah. Nazirah chose to merry Mr. Gaus (a widower who has two children already) over Eddie. Eddie was really disappointed with Nazirah's decision and the he decided to left Malaysia to England.
When Eddie live in England, everyday Eddie spent enough time to up-date the news about his family life in Malaysia with his cousin Nadhiyah. Everyday Nadhiyah tell him about what's happening in their family, how's Emak and Babah (Nadhiyah's parents) doing and Nadhiyah always enthusiast to up-date about Kak Chik (Nazirah) life lately. For Nadhiyah, Eddie already like her own brother, Nadhiyah doesn't have any brother she only have a sister Nazirah. Since Nadhiyah and Eddie are cousins they know each other since they were a child. Eddie became a place to tell about her daily story, a place to consult every Nadhiyah problem and when she needs any advice she will ask to Eddie. Chatting with Eddie every night is a must for Nadhiyah.
Enchik Latif, Eddie's father always ask Nadhiyah to work on their company but Nadhiyah always refuse because she doesn't like working in the office; Nadhiyah prefer work as a van school driver to work in the office. Her mother always angry over her because according to her mother it is not good for a girl like her to work as a driver. Because her mother angry over her everyday and Enchik Latif keep asking her so she decided to work in Enchik Latif office but she only work there as temporarily employee.
Oneday, in the morning Enchil Latif find her in hurry; she was surprised did she do something wrong or anything? Actually Enchik Latif was not angry over her, Enchik Latif actually ask her to help him to take Eddie in the air port since Eddie already arrived in Malaysia. Nadhiyah was surprised why Eddie come back to Malaysia without telling something to her before?
The next day Eddie already work in their office and became Nadhiyah boss. No body in their office know that Nadhiyah and Enchik Adrian (Eddie) actually know each other except Enchik Latif. Nadhiyah was really happy at the beginning because she could see Eddie everyday but the way Eddie at the office was absolutely different with when they are chat in the massager. Eddie is a strict killer boss at the office and when they meet in the chat room Eddie is a lovely brother for Nadhiyah. It is not infrequently Nadhiyah became the object of Eddie's anger. Even sometimes she crying in her table because of Eddie and then in the night Eddie will apologizes to her. He said that he only mad at Nadhiyah because Nadhiyah did wrong in her work and that in nothing to do with the real life.
Without they realize that they already depend on each other. Eddie already deeply in love with Nadhiyah but he had his pride, he doesn't want to tell or he doesn't know how to tell Nadhiyah about it. Eddie always get angry over Nadhiyah every time he saw Nadhiyah go out with anybody but him. Nadhiyah doesn't like every time Eddie angry over her. Nadhiyah always get jealous every time Eddie go out or talking with somebody who admit herself as Eddie's girlfriend. Because of the situation they always fight each other even one time they do not talk to each other over two months.
The truth (Yang Sebenarnya) must be reveal, they have to be honest to themselves, to their heart and they have to tell the truth to the other about their truth feeling.
I like this story very much, this is one of my favorite Novels but i don't really know how to describe it in good language. I am sorry my English is not really good, there are so many grammatical error. But if you have time and you can read Malay or Bahasa i recommend this novel "Yang Sebenarnya" by Aisya Sofea.
