man, the weeks, they get busier and busier until by december they'rea ll starting to blur together. here's the End Of Week clear-out:
* my new icon = total awesomeness. thanks to my sis, for the picporn.
*
onelittlesleep has gone away for the weekend. have a good time honey! don't get sprayed by skunks, or y'know, whatever! in other news, she has decided to Stop Being Feedback's Slave, and turned off comments to her fic. which i think deserves a mention and hearty congratulations.
* i made
by -
1. buying one chicken maryland per person
2. chopping a whole heap of veges - potatoes/pumpkin/sweet potato/carrot/onion - into large chunks
3. tossing the whole lot together with about 6 squashed garlic cloves and 1/4 c of olive oil and rock salt and oregano and pepper
4. spreading the lot into two baking trays (better coverage) covered with aluminium foil
5. baking at 180 deg C for 1.5 hours until tender, browning without the foil for the last half hour and man, did it taste so bloody good.

niz4 is writing again! yay!
*
meyerlemon is in Oregon. i mean, where the hell is that, even? (no comments please, i'm being RHETORICAL) what is she doing if she can't post a gazillion times a day? now that is a very interesting question.
* my sons have caught yabbies from our dam, and are keeping them in an aquarium, right here on the desk next to me. i am so glad i'm not a yabbie right now.
* and i am so glad that the party thing/birthday week business is OVER and is NOT COMING BACK for another year. yes, a good time was had by all.
* omg, i finally posted
this fic and now you are all happy for me and want me to stop whining about it. the markups took me three hours. yay me!
* in personal news
, i got my PERIOD yesterday, first time since before i conceived Will(June last year?), and since i'm still breastfeeding about every two hours i feel a bit ripped off, y'know? cos, you're not supposed to get fertile again until after the b'feeding is over and blah blah blah (this never happens in real life), and now i have to buy tampons again, what a drag!
* it's dark of the moon tonight, which means that tomorrow is the start of a new planting cycle. yay! i am so loving my garden at the moment. and i have struck cuttings! and i have planted nasturtiums! but i still don't know what killed off all my cucumber and honeydew seedlings.
* i watched House of Wax, because it has JP in it and also because i am lame. in fact, i am so lame that i had to watch some of the scary bits (er, all of them, actually) in full forward. *hangs head* i dunno, i think my Amityville Horror experience has ruined me for life. now i'll never get to see The Ring. shit.
okay, that's it. books consumed: The Gathering by Isobelle Carmody (i'm trying to read more of her stuff before Natcon next year). there's nothing on telly worth watching except NCIS repeats, as i find Jericho a bit *yawns*.
cheerio, i'm off to bed :)
