archiving...now
hi everyone, hope life's treating you ok. owing to my impending about-to-give-birthedness, i have been a bit out of the loop. but i have decided that as my current ability to contribute to LJ life is so minimal, i'm going to temporarily suspend normal play. instead of regular updates, i'm just going to update when i can, and the rest of the time i'm going to get on and post my fic backlog. so apologies for the blatant self-promotion, but at least it's something, and it makes me feel like i haven't dropped off the edge of the universe.
the reason i'm shamelessly rehashing my old writing is that (apart from the fact that i'm outrageously lazy per se) i've started up another blog called goblok. this will now be my primary archive site. everything i've ever posted here will also reside there, thus saving the need to chase fic through the listed entries here. does that make sense? everything's listed under fandom titles, because i'm a pedant. so if you decide you want to go read something i writ or recced - as one, occasionally, does - go there.
goblok is a Prokem (Jakartan slang) word that means, approximately, 'stoopid'.
so now i have 'Idiot[box]' and 'Stoopid'. excellent.
as soon as i get a spare, i'll post a couple more fics.

on the home front, i am about 7 weeks from giving birth. not everything is in readiness, but that's ok, it'll come. i have oedema in my hands, feet and ankles (bummer - summer) and i am currently sitting on a yoga ball to 'optimize foetal positioning'. i'll give you a dollar if you know what that means.
it is really hot here. this is bad. none of my clothes fit anymore, so i am improvising with fisherman's pants and singlet tops. considering that the most comfortable footwear option at the moment is my cross-trainers, i look rather like i've had a total style bypass. this, yes this, is pregnancy.
i have no dignity left, and i cannot wait for my labour to begin. honest. it'll be a huge relief. let's get on with the show, folks. ah, the joys.
never mind - life, generally, is good. my beloved is only working part-time, in anticipation of the approaching increase in household workload, and it's so nice to have him home on mondays. i've been watching a lot of telly, which is fun. little britain rules, Supernatural is a good time-waster, and OH JOY, i got my .avi files of BSG S2 converted to .wav - at ep10, what a glorious ride it has turned out to be so far...
