the drum beats out of time...
tomorrow marks the beginning of my 5th week with the senior loans group!!! i can't believe how quickly the past two weeks have gone!! i finally got to work with the other teams, which was fun!!! i also got to present with one of my co-workers to the group about the ethanol industry, which was sooooo much fun!! i was really nervous at first, but everyone seemed impressed with the information i had found!
on the 15th, valdis and i got to attend the csfb cubs outing, which was SOOOO much fun (seeing everyone after they had been drinking for 3 hours was definitely amusing!!)!!! coming home was quite an adventure- there was a hazmat issue at the train stop right after mine (some white substance had fallen off a train and was all over the tracks), so after sitting on the tracks for a hour, they finally made everyone on my train get off at the stop right before mine. i tried calling a cab company, but literally thousands of people were stuck at the train station (at least 5 trains had deboarded there), so i couldn't get through. i ended up hitchhiking with this nice old couple who had picked up a group of girls who had to go to the end of the line (an hour away), so they said it would be no problem taking me as well!!!
this past week was valdis' 21st birthday, so we all left work super early on thursday to go out for drinks, which was sooo much fun!!! it's nice to interact with people on a more social level!!! after people left, v and i went out for dinner at the mall and just hung out and talked. friday all of the interns went out for lunch, which was a blast, despite everyone making fun of me for the hand thing (haha lindsay! these people are like a MILLION times worse than kraig and alex were about it!!!)!!!
this weekend has been pretty chill- i met one of my friends from the ross last night and we went to see nacho libre. on the whole, i didn't think it was that great, but there were definitely some parts at which i seriously almost died laughing!!! today will consist of doing laundry, finishing up some work, and packing (i leave for nyc in the morning!!!)!!!! i am soooooo excited for this week- not only will i get to see all the other msim interns, but i'll get to see all of the kids from the ross!!!!! i can't wait to hear how everyone's jobs are going and how they like living in the city!!!!
