Art class is going well; I'm loving it! true destressor among the piles of bio assignments pending.
6pm-10pm class is a bit brutal but time goes by so fast in there. Thought I'd do a recap of what we've done so far, just for record's sake :)
we start off with blind contour of whats in front of us, which I'm not too sure what the point is...something about getting used to your hand moving to what you're seeing?
Works of art , I tell ya!
We do exercises like:
First time using Conte! I had no idea what I was doing or how to hold it...
30 minute Conte exercise. starting to get the hang of it...sort of?!
p-p-progress..?
One hour conte exercise / in class assignment:
Gotta fix up some lines and darken some areas. Prof seemed extremely happy with it but compared to accuracy achieved with pencil, standards for conte seem so low lol i can't get myself to like it but maybe after working on it a bit more ....
Also the prof is SO SO SO nice! he's so encouraging (almost to an "i dont deserve this much niceness" level), and has this really "gentle" voice. really makes me think how absolutely wonderful the world would be if everyone's temperament was identical to him. or Thorn's... :)
last week's inclass assignment with all the stippling in the bg added:
