[s7] Food Prejudice King - Kumiko Aso vs Matsuyama Kenichi (2009.06.11)

Aug 04, 2009 13:50

Finished subbing this amusing Kuwazugirai episode with Kumiko Aso and MatsuKen. She's promoting an up-coming movie named Instant Numa (Instant Swamp) and he's there for a movie called Ultra Miracle Love Story. Both equally strange sounding titles^^

I'm sorry but.. again the translations aren't perfect, but I reckon 70-80% understanding is better than none at all, right? Gaman shite kudasai (please bear with it).

Get it here..

Blurb with a mini review..
-I really couldn't predict who would win before watching this since they're both very versatile actors. But in the end.. (>_<); I lmao'd at the batsu game part.

-It seems like MatsuKen would get along very well with Taka-san. I can totally imagine them hanging out at the pub together drinking beer and eating potato salad while talking nonsense. MatsuKen sure seems to be good friends with Aso-san though.

-The last Kumiko Aso movie I saw was Cafe Isobe. It's a quirky little comedy about a teen and her single father who's a contractor who comes into some large inheritance. He decides to quit his job and open a cafe. With his no experience and don't-care attitude, it quickly turns into a pretty dasai (unsophisticated) cafe indeed, as the daughter begrudgingly complains. Just looking at the father's face makes me wanna laugh xD

Aso-san's character was so hilarious. But the genuine love-hate relationship between the daughter (Riisa Naka) and father (Hiroyuki Miyasako) stands out the most. Never heard of the Riisa Naka before (found out that she voiced the main character in the brilliant The Girl Who Leapt Through Time <----watch it!) but she won the Best New Talent award at the 2009 Yokohama Film Festival for this role. I think she has a bright future and imho her performance here was way better than Anna Ishibashi's (who also won the same award for the movie Kimi no Tomodachi) stiff acting. Oh yeah and she's so adorable to boot <3<3<3

Wow this is getting long. Sorry I had to plug a review in there. Tl:dr, I recommend giving Cafe Isobe a try.

Okay I'm so tired I better stop. Hope you enjoy the show..
