Don't just depend on fate..

I recently watched Hollywood's remake of My Sassy Girl.. because I'm just too curious!

The first question many Sassy Girl fans will be asking would have to be.. "Is it as good as the original?" And you can hear a resounding "NO WAY!" coming back at you even before it was released or Elisha Cuthbert chosen play Jeon Ji Hyun's famously sassy & cute & beautiful yet crazy when drunk (and sober) character.

Well at least it wasn't a total disaster. At least it looked really good and bright and colourful. They even borrowed some elements from Amelie (the beginning intro and fast forward scenes). But I can't find even one thing in which it betters the original. It has it's moments, but the original can make your eyes water from laughing AND/OR crying, and then will stay with you for a long time (seriously, you won't listen to Canon in D the same way ever again!). So my advice would be to watch the Korean version of My Sassy Girl if you haven't seen it before attempting the remake. It's way more superior in every way, especially the main characters. The remake is fairly charming but mostly average and just A-OK.. and it felt kinda rushed.

I kinda liked the last line of the movie tho..
