Scandals scandals scandals...
So after the internet stopped working just because it didn't feel like working (so no uploads for a while @_@) and me coming back from not just one but two much needed holiday getaways :P.. It seems like the world of H!P and MM is still in turmoil.. and turned up several notches.
Scandals galore! Less than a month after Tsuji's scandal. Fujimoto Miki stepped down as leader of Morning Musume! Takahashi Ai is now the new leader, with MC Gaki as the new sub-leader.. and Ai Kago's turning to porn.
Tsuji's scandal didn't bother me at all. But all that talk about how she and her partner planned to get married from the beginning is just BS. If she (and the whole world) didn't "accidentally" find out she's pregnant she would still be single right now, IMHO. I thought she was dumb for doing and getting caught doing something like that when Aibon's case is still fresh in everyone's mind.
Then Miki comes along and does something similar. I do believe the rumour that she did it to get out of MM and get her solo career back. For Miki it sounds especially true, she never looked like she belonged with the gals, especially the more "extremely happy" ones. I think Yossie's grad was the last straw for her. She needed a way out and what better way to quit soon after she's been made leader... do exactly what Mari Yaguchi did and get a boyfriend! It's like in the world of idolism that's the quickest way to freedom. Also in the radio show Young Town, she never once sounded genuinely sorry about what happened even though she says "I'm sorry" constantly. She doesn't sound like a person who's madly in love either. There must be some truths somewhere in the web of lies and deception I'm sure but...
Why are the girls choosing losers, nobodies or 3rd rate comedians over their career? Aibon's "middle aged womanizer with a beer belly" boyfriend made me lose my appetite when I think what they were doing spending the night at the ryoukan. If you're gonna choose someone fat, old and ugly at least let him be a multi-billionaire. Miki's guy... is creepy. Surely the girls can do better. Come on.. Go grab one of those pretty Johnnys' boys or something. At least Mari chose to quit for someone like Oguri Shun.
I'm very happy that Ai-chan's now the leader but also a bit worried about how she might handle this. I don't think she'll be involved in this type of scandal any time soon though. She has the more professional and straight down to business type of personality, and it looks like she really enjoys her singing and performing. However she isn't that good with dealing with and opening up to other people. She is also HORRIBLE with interviews and stuff. While it can lead to some hilarious consequences when the timing is right, it's not ideal if she's the leader and will be pushed to the front to handle questions from the media or handle internal problems within the group. Maybe she would learn to do all this well in time, but seeing how over the years she's been hiding more and more behind the scenes and letting everyone else do the talking just shows how it's just how she is. She's still the same down to earth, country bumpkin from Fukui as when she first joined the group and I wouldn't change her for the world. I suspect Niigaki will be the one to take on those responsibilities from now on, while Ai-chan continues to do her talking on the stage. But I can't think of a better pairing to lead the group right now that the bestest friends ever, Takagaki!
It's sad to see another one of my favourites go.. No more Miki-sama evilness in MM. Now there's just Ai and Kame left =( I always was a bigger fan of Ai-chan than that of Momusu so when she leaves I hope she has a successful solo career instead of calling it a day. But seeing how few of the soloists actually make it big outside of the H!P fanbase, it is worrying. They seem to be pushing the character Kuro-Sayumi (Black Sayumi) for Sayumi Michishige lately. She used to be the cutesy (and nauseating) Shige-pinku but I always knew she'd make a better villain. Hopefully she lets lose her evilness now ;)
Oh yeah, I guess Aibon's not happy that everyone decided to appear in the tabloids too so she upped everyone else by deciding to shed her clothes and do nude photography. If that doesn't make your jaw drop I guess you must have put on some elephant glue on yer jaws. It's still just a rumour but... WHY?! Does she need the money that badly? She has been going down a very dark path for a while now that I think she badly needed someone to sit down, have a long talk and give some sound advice to her. She still needs one before it's too late. Tsuji-Kago is like the first batch of very young members to join the Hello Project idol industry and looking at how they both turned out H!P should now be very careful about other girls who are now becoming idols before they even reach puberty. *worried about Sugaya Risako and co.*
They are kind of depraved of experiencing many of the things that other girls normally go through while growing up and need to be taught a lesson about life, boys, contraception, how to stay out of trouble and how to find effective disguises while going out with their boyfriends to the nearest convenience stores. Some of the gals look like they badly need boys, boys and more boys! So give them some boys, UFA, and get it over with! That sounded wrong. I'm sorry T_T
