Alright, so its been/will be a busy last few weeks of summer... just to keep everyone up to date.
I dropped the Sunglasses Hut. They were about to call me in for my 5th interview... FIFTH! For a stupid retail position in a stupid outlet in stupid Stonestown. I almost went through with it, because I had no other prospects, but then...
Luck helps those who make rash and somewhat stupid decisions apparently, because during the time I was supposed to be at the interview Marie called me and told me that the camp she's been working at, Steve and Kates, would be needing people for the last two weeks and I should apply.
Also at somepoint in this period one of my many connecs in the movie industry (read as movie theater biz) told me an old boss of theres was going to be going to the newly renovated Kabuki Theater/Restaurant, and that he was looking for employies starting the beginning of September... I emailed the guy, and he wants to meet with me some time after the 24th which is perfect because...
The 24th is now my move in day. Really, to be honest I had wanted 2 housemates and my own room... also to be living in a real part of SF rather than the stupid Villas. Well that fell through. It was gonna be me, Bryan Ting, and J Woody, my oldest friend... Then we realized we were gonna need to live in the Villas cause we couldn't find other places... and we were running into difficulties. We had to find a 4th person, and couldn't find one. On Saturday I was getting ready to call it quits and just search Craigs List for room to rent when Steven Pilc called
Basicly over the course of two days he decided it was time to move out and he'd take out student loans to do so. So on Sunday we went to the Villas leasing office and asked for any available 2 room townhouses... he told us no. That there actually was only one 2 room appartment left on the premises and it wasn't even finished being remodeled yet. So yay us. Bryan Ting put down the deposit after we all confered with our families... and we now have an appartment that will, hopefully (cross your fingers), be ready to move into the day my job at Steve and Kate's ends, just three days before the semester begins... phew...
Oh yeah, I went to Vegas in the middle of all of this... it was awesome... and work seems cool too...
